MOTOR CITY CRUISE WIN BACK-TO-BACK OVER OKLAHOMA CITY BLUE

 DETROIT – Coach Bakker and the Motor City Cruise were looking to win back-to-back games over the Oklahoma City Blue. The Cruise would win tonight’s game with a score of 99-95. 

The Cruise trailed after the first quarter, with a score of 23-20. Then, Oklahoma City opened the lead to begin the second after going on an 11-4 run. However, the Cruise would jump back with their own 11-4 run to cut the deficit. At the end of the first half, the Oklahoma City Blue led 47-41. Ousmane Dieng led the Blue with 13 points at the half. Jared Rhoden led the Cruise with 10. During the third quarter of tonight’s game, the Cruise went on a 13-2 run to take their first lead of the game. However, a late three-point basket in the quarter would put Oklahoma City up by two (73-71) to end the third. The Cruise would hit a late three-point shot scored by Keifer Sykes in a back-and-forth fourth quarter to secure the win.

With tonight’s win, Jared Rhoden led the Cruise with 27 points. He shot 10-17 from the floor (5-9 beyond the arc). Keifer Sykes followed up with 20 points and was one assist away from a double-double. 

For Oklahoma City, Ousmane Dieng led the Blue with 17 points. He secured a double-double after grabbing 10 rebounds. Olivier Sarr came off the bench and scored 14 points to follow up Dieng’s performance. 

The Motor City Cruise improved to 7-11 and the Oklahoma City Blue fell to 7-12. The Motor City Cruise will take on the Greensboro Swarm, February 13th at the Wayne State Field House (Detroit, Michigan). Tip-off is slated for 7:00pm EST.
