MOTOR CITY CRUISE TIP-OFF 2026-27 NBA G LEAGUE SEASON ON NOV. 10 at CLEVELAND CHARGE

DETROIT – The Motor City Cruise, NBA G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced today their 2026-27 NBA G League schedule. Entering their sixth NBA G League season, the Cruise will open on the road against conference rival, the Cleveland Charge, on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. ET. The Cruise will begin their first homestand on Friday, Nov. 13, opening against the Noblesville Boom at 6:30 p.m. ET at Wayne State Fieldhouse.

The Cruise begin their campaign with the Tip-Off Tournament, which makes up the first 14 games of the season. The Tip-Off slate features several highlight matchups, including an in-state rivalry with the Grand Rapids Gold on Nov. 17 and 18 at Motor City. All 31 NBA G League teams will be separated into four regional pods and play against their respective G League markets. The team with the best winning percentage in each pod, along with four wild card selections with the next-best records across the league, will advance to the single-elimination tournament rounds from Dec. 19-22 at the 2026 NBA G League Winter Showcase. The Winter Showcase also serves as the start of the regular season, as all teams will play their first two regular season games. The qualified teams that advance from the first two rounds of the tournament will face off in the final round of 2026 NBA G League Winter Showcase Championship. 

Following the Tip-Off Tournament, team records and stats will reset for a traditional 36-game regular season. Teams will be split into Eastern and Western Conferences, and playoff qualifications will be based solely on records. The top eight teams in each conference will advance to the NBA G League Playoffs. The regular season features nine total home games in the month of January for Motor City, beginning with a five-game homestand against the Cleveland Charge on Wednesday, Jan. 6, before a playoff rematch with the Osceola Magic on Jan. 13 and 14. Motor City will also host defending NBA G League champions, the Greensboro Swarm, in a two-game series on Feb. 2 and 4. The Cruise will close out their final homestand and a second-straight potential playoff push against the Laketown Squadron on March 23 and 25, after earning the franchise’s first playoff win during the 2025-26 season.

Throughout the year, the Cruise will host several theme nights, including special ticket packages and giveaways that will be announced at a later date. The team will also host three Education Day games for local schools, tipping off at 11 a.m. ET on Nov. 17, Feb. 2 and March 25.

Season ticket packages will start as low as $336 ($14 a game). As part of the Pistons’ development system, fans will have the chance to watch the team’s following two-way players: Two-year NBA veteran Elijah Harkless, Detroit’s second-round draft pick Ugonna Onyenso and 2025-26 All-NBA G League First Team member, Isaac Jones. The Cruise have continued their tradition of developing talent into NBA opportunities, most recently with Daniss Jenkins and Tolu Smith earning standard contracts with the Detroit Pistons last season.
