MOTOR CITY CRUISE DEFEAT WESTCHESTER KNICKS

DETROIT – With three games remaining, the Motor City Cruise continued their home stand and took on the Westchester Knicks. Prior to today’s game, the Cruise were 0.5 games behind the Lakeland Magic in the Eastern Conference Standings for a playoff spot. Tonight, the Motor City Cruise defeated the Westchester Knicks with a score of 122-112. Motor City has now won four straight games (five out of their last six).

The Cruise opened with a 20-6 run to begin the game. At the end of the first, the Cruise took a commanding 41-13 lead. Westchester generated offense respectfully in the second quarter, after putting up 35 points. However, Motor City dropped 33 points in the second quarter, taking a 74-48 lead at the half. Jared Rhoden led the way for Motor City to end the half after scoring 19 points in the first two quarters alone. He scored 15 of those points in just the first quarter. Rhoden shot 5-8 from the floor (3-5 beyond the arc) to end the half.  Justin Wright-Foreman led the Knicks with 13 points after shooting 6-13 from the floor.

In the second half, Motor City closed the game out with the win. However, Westchester made the game interesting after outscoring the Cruise 37-19 in the fourth quarter. The Knicks shot 13-25 from beyond the arc in the second half alone to end the game respectively.

Justin Wright-Foreman had a tremendous game on offense. He scored 41 points after shooting 16-27 from the floor (6-10 beyond the arc). Jordan Allen followed up with 31 points. He shot 11-29 from the floor (9-20 beyond the arc).

For Motor City, Jared Rhoden led the way with 25 points. He shot 8-14 from the floor. Jaylen Johnson secured a double-double after scoring 17 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. David Nwaba also secured a double-double after scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Lastly, Stanley Umude scored 16 points after shooting 6-13 from the floor (4-8 beyond the arc).

The Motor City Cruise improved to 16-14 and the Westchester Knicks fell to 9-20. The Motor City Cruise are set to take on the Westchester Knicks once again at Wayne State Field House.
