DETROIT – The Motor City Cruise have acquired returning players rights to Jared Cunningham from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2022-23 G League Draft.
Cunningham, a former first-round pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers, made his NBA debut in 2012. During his NBA career, Cunningham has appeared in 84 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers, LA Clippers, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, and Milwaukee Bucks. Cunningham has posted NBA averages of 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 7.2 minutes per game.
As a collegian, Cunningham attended Oregon State University where he appeared in 98 games over a three-year span. He averaged 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 27.9 minutes per game, finishing his career 13th all-time in scoring (1,271), and second in steals (219). Cunningham was named to All-Pac-12 First Team during his junior season.
